What happens when 6-8 11 year old girls get together for an hour or so of little-felt-animal crafting? Not all that much in the great scheme of things, but we sure have fun. Last week we made little pandas with flat arms – today was stuffed monkey day.
A little bit of Japanese craft culture for the Grey Lady.

A great group of girls makes some cool felt friends!
Led by Evelyn Hudson, age 11, and her mom, me, Crafternoons have been really fun. We were inspired by “The Cute Book” from the Japanese group or company or entity Aranzi Aronzo:The Cute Book – Aranzi Aronzo
It teaches you how to create your own ”Felt Mascots”. Today it also let a group of girls be creative while getting to know each other better. We’re not charging anything for Crafternoons… I thought about it briefly but the materials are inexpensive and the experience is, as they say, priceless.
